Robert Bond

Robert Bond is head of his firm's IP, Technology and Commercial Group and is also a Notary Public.  He specializes in information technology law and commercial law, and he is also a recognised expert and author in the fields of e-commerce, data protection and information security laws.  He has specialized in data protection and information security since 1983 and in computer games law since 1979.

Mr. Bond is chairman of the ICC (UK) E-Business, IT and Telecoms Committee and the IT & E-Commerce Committee of the Licensing Executives Society.  He is a Fellow of the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies and a Companion of the British Computer Society.

He is author of Software Contracts, published by Tottel, and Negotiating International Software Licenses and Data Transfer Agreements, published by Sweet & Maxwell.  He is listed as a “Notable Practitioner” for Data Protection in Chambers UK (2008), where clients describe him as “a brilliant lecturer, a meticulous lawyer,” “responsive” and “authoritative.”  He is described in Legal 500 (2008) as “experienced, knowledgeable and pleasant.”
