Pietro Tamburrini

Pietro Tamburrini specializes in technology and Internet law, particularly with respect to software protection, privacy protection, contracts for technology distribution and licensing, Internet security, digital signatures, outsourcing, service level agreements, domain names and multimedia.  He has provided litigation services to Italian and International companies in all these areas.  He also provides general counsel support for incorporation of Italian subsidiaries and supports IT companies in the areas of labor law.

Mr. Tamburrini has published articles on legal topics in a variety of international publications.  He is author of the Italian chapter of European Computer Law, published by Transnational Publisher Inc., Irvington, New York.  He has written books on Italian privacy law.

Mr. Tamburrini studied law at the Catholic University of Milan and qualified as an Italian solicitor in 1972.  He is coordinator of the legal board of ASSOFT (Italian Association for Software Protection), advisor to BSA (Business Software Alliance), member of the Boards of Directors of ANGAP (Italian Association for Privacy Protection), USERNET (Italian Association for security and privacy on the Internet) and ITechLaw, where he chairs the ITechLaw International Committee, and he is a past president of IT Law Europe.
