Peter Brown

Peter Brown leads his firm’s national Technology Law Practice.  Mr. Brown was the Founder and Co-Managing Partner of Brown Raysman Millstein Felder & Steiner LLP and practiced at its successor.  He concentrates his practice on disputes relating to intellectual property and information technology law, including litigation in various state and federal courts and arbitrations.  He has served as an expert witness in various disputes arising from technology and intellectual property issues, and as an arbitrator and mediator in disputes relating to technology, software and the Internet.  Mr. Brown also negotiates agreements relating to computer software, the Internet, electronic commerce, outsourcing, content licensing and consulting agreements. 

In 2005, 2006 and 2007, Mr. Brown was identified by New York Magazine as among the New York Area’s Best Lawyers.  In 2006 and 2007, he was listed in the directory of The Best Lawyers in America.  In 2008, he was listed in The International Who’s Who of Internet and e-Commerce Lawyers. 

Mr. Brown is a member of the Board of Directors of ITechLaw.  He chairs the Practicing Law Institute’s Annual Technology Law Institute and is a member of the Development Committee of Legal Services of the Hudson Valley.  He co-chaired the Computer Litigation Committee of the American Bar Association and is Chair of the Computer Law Committee of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York.  Mr. Brown is an internationally recognized speaker and writer on information technology and intellectual property issues.
