Oliver M. Habel has worked as an attorney since 1985.  After some time working abroad in the USA and other countries, he has worked in his own specialized technology law firm since 2003.

Oliver Habel has authored various publications on IT and copyright law as well as on technical and IT project business.  He specializes in trade and contract law, distribution law (national and international), licensing law, product liability defense, information technology, e-business and arbitration.  He is a Board Member/Chair of the European Local Representatives Committee of the International Technology Law Association (ITechLaw), a member of the German Bar Association (Deutscher Anwaltsverein), the German Society for Law and Information Technology (Deutsche Gesellschaft fuer Recht und Informatik), DAV-IT Group (ARGE IT) and the International Bar Association.

He is a law graduate of Munich University.
