Haakon Opperud

Haakon Opperud heads the firm's IT group.  He specializes in a variety of IT contracts, e-commerce, outsourcing, other technology law matters, and mergers and acquisitions involving the technology sector.  He is a member of the firm’s M&A group, handling IT/IP and other technology issues. 

Mr. Opperud advises several of the leading national and international players within these sectors in Norway, and he also assists the national players abroad by organizing legal assistance in multiple jurisdictions.

Haakon Opperud has assisted with a substantial number of the largest IT contracts awarded over the last 10 years in Norway, including the three largest ones in 2007.  His passion for IT law started in the mid-1990s, when he spent several years assisting with the largest and most complex IT dispute that had so far occurred in Norway.  

Haakon Opperud is a frequent lecturer within his field.  He is a board member or member of several IT and IT Law organizations and is Local Representative for ITechLaw in Norway. Mr. Joslove, who is a frequent lecturer and author on IT, telecommunications and Internet law, is consistently recognized as one of the leaders in France in these fields by numerous trade publications.  He is a member of the Board of Directors of the International Technology Law Association and participates in other technology trade associations as well.  He received his J.D. degree from Harvard University.
