Florian von Baum focuses on corporate and IP law, with an emphasis on IT/software licensing, distribution and outsourcing projects. He is head of the firm's IP/IT group. With more than 12 years of experience, he serves as counsel for a broad range of clients, including IT, semiconductor, Internet, media, high-technology automotive and telecommunications companies.
Recent highlights of his practice include representing a German telecommunications provider in an IT development and migration project; restructuring the European business of a U.S. automotive sound system supplier; a corporate investigation into industry espionage for a German automotive company, with litigation in several countries; and advising a major German publishing house on acquisition of a Web 2.0 platform.
Florian von Baum received his law degree and a doctorate in law (summa cum laude) from the University of Munich. He is a member of the German Intellectual Property Association (GRUR) as well as the German Association for Law and Informatics (DGRI). He regularly publishes and speaks on IP and IT related topics.
