Eniola Akindemowo

Professor Eniola Akindemowo’s interest in IT Law dates back to 1987, when she first studied the subject at the University of London.  Following subsequent Ph.D. research in the area, Professor Akindemowo has gone on to teach subjects including IT Law, e-commerce law, electronic financial transaction law, comparative computer law, and payment systems.  Presently a member of the faculty at Thomas Jefferson School of Law, Professor Akindemowo has also taught at Monash University in Melbourne, Australia; the University of Western Sydney, Australia; the University of East London and Middlesex University in the UK.

The author of the first substantive text on IT law to be published in Australia, Professor Akindemowo is also the co-author of a book on E-Commerce and the Law.  She has also authored articles in both student-edited and peer-reviewed journals.  Her scholarly interests include electronic payments regulation and policy, stored value, e-commerce, m-payments and payment systems, contractual and consumer issues arising from e-commerce, and anti-terrorism financing regulation.
