Hele Karja has a representative experience in intellectual property, IT and technology and data protection. Her experience includes matters such as: advising on licensing and other technology related transactions, database and software related disputes, advising on copyright; data protection; consultancy on industrial property such as trademark disputes; advertising and media consultancy; and leadership of various training courses, seminars and conferences on intellectual property, IT law and data protection.
Ms. Karja earned her Master of Arts in Law degree at the University of Tartu and has been a Member of the Board of the Estonian Swedish Chamber of Commerce since 2011. She is part of the International Technology Law Association, serving as a member of the Board of Directors and she has been Local Representative in Baltic States and Vice-Chair on ITechLaw Women’s International Network (I-WIN) Committee. She has also held several positions on the Tallinn Rotaract Club, including President, Vice President, and Member of the Board.
Ms. Karja has published several articles in numerous publications. Chambers Europe mentions her as a specialist in IP matters in the IT industry and notes she "earns praise for her technical ability and practical approach."
