Michael Isler is a senior associate with Wenger Plattner, practising in the firm’s Zurich and Basel offices in the fields of ICT, intellectual property, unfair competition and life sciences law. He was educated at the Universities of Zurich and Louvain and also holds a doctoral degree from the University of Lucerne.
Mr. Isler avails of many years of practical experience in the area of information and communication technology. Prior to joining Wenger Plattner, he worked as in-house counsel for a global technology group and a multinational telecommunications infrastructure supplier and service provider, where he negotiated several network outsourcing deals, and acquired his expertise in the technical and regulatory aspects characterising the sector.
Apart from continuing transactional work of the same type, Mr. Isler frequently advises on data protection, licensing, trademark and advertising matters with a particular affinity for regulated markets. Mr. Isler is recommended by Who's Who Legal 2013 as one of the leading TMT lawyers in Switzerland and contributed to the Swiss Chapter in the 2012 and the 2013 edition of The Technology, Media and Telecommunications Review.
