Clive Davies is a senior counsel with Fujitsu Services in the U.K. advising on major service contracts with customers in the public and private sectors, including multinational deals.
Prior to joining Fujitsu in 2007, Mr. Davies was the lead IT and outsourcing partner in London at D J Freeman for 13 years and Olswang for 4 years. He qualified in 1977 and worked as an in-house lawyer for the Alexander Howden Group in the insurance industry, Esso in the petroleum business and ICL in the IT sector before joining D J Freeman in 1990.
Mr. Davies specialises in advising on major outsourcing and project contracts for IT outsourcing, having represented customers and suppliers in-house and in private practice for many years. He has a particular interest in improving the contracting process--believing that a successful contract is one which supports effective delivery. He also advises on electronic commerce and data protection.
Mr. Davies has been a leading IT lawyer for many years and lectures and writes regularly on IT-related legal subjects. Mr. Davies is trustee and past chair of SCL, a Co-Chair of ITechLaw's In-House Committee, treasurer of IFCLA, an editor of Communications Law and a member of the LexisNexis In-House Advisory Board.
