Jeremy Morton is a partner in the Intellectual Property team at CMS, Europe's largest legal services organization. He has more than 20 years' experience as an intellectual property lawyer.
Mr. Morton advises on all types of intellectual property including patents, trademarks and designs, copyright and trade secrets. His experience includes some of the largest intellectual property disputes, as well as freedom-to-operate, validity and other opinions, transactional and advisory matters, and he often coordinates multi-jurisdictional IP matters. Other areas of his work include EU customs detention programs, 'essential patent' license issues, employees and IP, and the UK's new 'Patent Box' tax regime.
Mr. Morton has strong experience in the electronics, IT and telecoms sectors where he has represented clients in diverse fields such as memory chips, PC architecture, satellite services, computer displays, DAB radio, telecoms infrastructure, DVD technology, search engines, medical technology and anti-virus filtering.
Mr. Morton is an ITechLaw board member and is co-chair of the substantive law committee of ITechLaw. He is also a member of the European Patent Lawyers' Association ('EPLAW') and an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Patent Attorneys ('CIPA').
